Recycling Process

The process of batteries and other lead compounds recycling is as follows:

Once discarded by the user, the batteries are collected from repair workshops, end-of-life vehicles treatment and decontamination plants and green points. Through a capillary collection system, the recovered batteries are stored at intermediate agents premises together with the rest of lead compounds that arrive directly. Once sufficient volume has been collected, these materials are sent to authorised plants where two processes are carried out:

The battery grinding and separation of the different parts and the melting of all lead compounds to obtain final lead that is, once again, suitable for transformation, mainly into new batteries. Additionally, the obtained polypropylene is sent to extrusion plants where is also recovered.
